How come the red sox **** so much and the Yankees dont?

Even with all the injuries the Yankees are only a half game outta first place and we usually get much better in the second half of the season when were taking back the division and getting ready for the playoffs. So why cant the Red Sox ever seem to win the division? Do they just **** that much?
